Adoption Consultant & Counselor
Deanna Rogers Rasnic is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor, a Licensed Child Placing Administrator and serves as the Adoption Consultant and Counselor for Chosen Child Adoption Services. Deanna has worked with Chosen Child since its inception, and she assisted with the agency’s initial development, including writing the agency’s policies and procedures, establishing ministry goals, and assisting in the development of the overall structure for the agency. She desired to combine her positive adoption experiences with other agencies – her counseling experiences with adoption, and her desire to see children placed into Christ centered homes – to help enable Chosen Child be a unique agency that ministers effectively to all parties involved in the adoption process.
Prior to working at Chosen Child, Deanna served as Director of an adoption agency and also worked for the Gladney Center for Adoption. She has been working as a counselor in the adoption field since 1997 and has extensive experience counseling birth parents, adoptive couples, adopted children, adult adoptees, and their family members. Deanna is also in private practice at Rasnic Counseling PLLC, where she offers marital, family, and individual counseling for adults, teens, and children.
Deanna graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with dual Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and Religious Education. Prior to her graduate training, she attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minored in Religion.
