We have several opportunities for volunteers to be involved and serve alongside the agency. Our primary opportunity to volunteer is our annual spring fundraiser. This could include the planning process and/or helping at the actual event.
We also have ongoing projects that are intended to meet the specific needs of the birth mothers we work with through the agency. These projects include donating specific items or a financial gift which can be specifically allocated to a project. Some of these projects include:
Birth Mother Tote Bags
A Birth Mother Tote Bag is intended to provide for some of the basic necessities during pregnancy, at the hospital, and after delivery. Plus a few optional items to show support, comfort, and care during this tender time in life. Assembling Birth Mother Tote Bags is a great project for churches, Bible Classes, youth groups, Bunko groups, sororities, civic clubs, employer groups or just a group who needs a reason to shop! In our office we have a collection of clothes and shoes available for birth mothers. These clothes are new or gently used maternity clothing in a variety of sizes.
We frequently provide giftcards to birth mothers for Wal-Mart or Target. All purchases are diligently monitored by the agency through providing receipts of purchases. These giftcards typically assist in purchasing groceries, gas, and other basic necessities.
